Queensland Eisteddfod

Maryborough 2020

The RMUYC competes at the annual Queensland Eisteddfod over Easter weekend. The children perform 7 choral pieces of music under the direction of our conductresses Mrs Julie Layt and Mrs Jodie Hiron. Each year the Eisteddfod is in a new location and 2020 will be in Maryborough.

The children also perform an Eisteddfod Showcase Concert in the RMU Hall for the families unable to attend the Eisteddfod.

Our volunteer committee members and parents chaperone the trip and your child can either travel on the bus and stay at camp or travel and stay privately. Your child does not have to come away to the Eisteddfod but is still welcome to perform at the concert. The fees for coming away at Easter are set once we have an indication of numbers and the bus and accommodations are finalized.
